MenuCalc Consulting: Choose Your Intake Process

Before we begin your nutrition analysis project, you'll need to complete our intake process. We offer two pathways designed to fit different client needs and preferences

Option 1: Self-Serve Intake (No Additional Cost)

Perfect for organized clients who prefer to handle data preparation independently.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete our comprehensive Ingredient & Recipe Intake Checklist

  • Upload all required documentation to your assigned Dropbox folder

  • Formally verify your submission is complete and ready for analysis

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Complete Menu Coverage: Every menu item must be included, along with all prep and sub-recipes (dressings, marinades, breading, sauces, etc.)

  • Branded Ingredients: All packaged items (breads, dressings, frozen foods) must include clear Nutrition Facts labels or spec sheets

  • Recipe Standards: All recipes must use accurate weights or standardized measurements, include yields and portion sizes, and be labeled consistently

Important: What You're Confirming

By choosing Self-Serve Intake, you acknowledge that:

  • Every menu item recipe is included

  • Every prep recipe is accounted for

  • Every external/branded ingredient has complete documentation

Please note: We will not follow up for missing information. Any incomplete items will be entered as clearly marked placeholders without nutrition data. Updates after project completion are billed at our hourly consulting rate.

Option 2: Done-for-You Intake ($750)

Ideal for busy clients who want expert support organizing their recipe and ingredient data.

What We'll Handle:

  • Review all your submitted recipes, prep items, and branded ingredients

  • Identify and document any missing or incomplete items

  • Provide a comprehensive intake report highlighting gaps

  • Offer one optional 30-minute check-in call for questions and clarifications

What You'll Provide:

  • Upload all available information to your assigned Dropbox folder

  • Basic organization with clear naming (separate folders for menu items, prep recipes, etc.)

Please Note: This service covers intake audit only — it does not include recipe entry or full nutrition analysis.

Project Policies

Timeline and Communication Requirements

14-Day Inactivity Policy

If we don't receive requested materials or communication within 14 calendar days, your project becomes dormant and requires a $300 restart fee to resume.

30-Day Archive Policy

Projects inactive for 30+ days will be archived. Restarting requires a $600 restart fee, subject to team availability and timeline reassessment.

Post-Completion Updates

Need to add missing information after your project is finished? We're happy to update your account at our consulting rate of $300/hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
